How Do They Know How To Do This Stuff?!

All of a sudden CJ decided that he was going to do a million new things one week. He started with rolling from his tummy to his back, then from his back to his tummy. He also discovered that his feet and legs are good for standing, one day he wouldn't even straighten them and the next all he wanted to do was stand up. He started eating rice cereal, started working on sitting up, and pushes up really well with his arms when he's on his tummy. He also talks up a storm, giggles, and screams his excitement. I don't know how they just know how to do this stuff, one day he's going about business as usual and the next he's a whole new kid!

Here's a video of one of his new tricks. It's kinda long cause it takes him a while to do it but he eventually shows you the goods. So be patient and you'll see...

Holy Cow! There's More To Eat Than Just Milk!!

At about 5 months liquids weren't cutting it for CJ anymore. He would be screaming for food at 2 1/2 hours even when we upped his ounces. So we realized that it was time to start him on rice cereal. We knew he wouldn't have a problem with this because there's nothing that he wont put in his mouth and he was really starting to watch us when we ate. So we tried it out, and surprise surprise, he LOVED it. So it's now part of our daily routine and he makes us laugh at how serious he is about his food! Veggies here we come!

Christmas

We cant believe that Christmas has already come and past. Its crazy how fast time flies when you have a baby. We had such a great Christmas. We spent the night at Chris's parent's house on Christmas Eve because we hadn't decorated for Christmas (because we were moving a few days after). On Christmas day we video chatted with Becky's parents so that we could all see each other. Isn't modern technology great! Later in the day we went to the movies with Becky's sister Chrissy and saw Four Christmases.

CJ had many Christmas outfits as you will see in the following pictures:

No One Told Me I Could Fly!!

We know it's been just a little over FOREVER since we updated our blog but we ended up moving right after Christmas so things have been a little hectic. So we decided it was about time since CJ is changing every day!

So in the beginning of December we flew to Utah for CJ's cousin Maddie's blessing. This was CJ's first time in an airplane. He did surprisingly well. He wanted his bottle soon after take off and then sat quietly for a while until he fell asleep. We really can't ask for a better baby.

When we got to Utah we stopped by to visit our friends the Conradi's so that they could meet our little man. We had a really great time but like always we had to leave too soon. Then it was on to our hotel where CJ got to go in the pool for the first time. It was an indoor heated pool and he just loved it! He looked so cute in his little swim suit and little swimmers (thanks to Shantel).

Larry's family drove from Idaho to come and see us and go to the blessing. We were so excited to have them meet CJ for the first time and to see everyone again. I love it when our family all gets together...talk about FUN TIMES.

Maddie's blessing was beautiful, Fred did a great job and she looked so pretty in her blessing gown (made by her Mama). We were so sad though that our trip was so short. We got there Saturday morning and left on Sunday afternoon. But what better way to spend your time than with your family!!
