Look What I Can Do!!

About a week ago I was sitting on the couch folding laundry when I looked over and CJ was holding onto the couch standing!! I hadn't even noticed that he pulled himself up! Now he's pulling up on everything and his new favorite thing is crawling up the stairs!! My little baby is growing up!!

I decided to get CJ all dressed up for my mom's funeral a couple of weeks ago. He looked like such a little man that I had to share!

Dorothy Elizabeth Johnson April 4, 1940 - May 19, 2009

I lost my mom to cancer on May 19, 2009. She was one of the best women I have ever known. She was serving a full time mission at Cove Fort in Utah when she was diagnosed. She was such a wonderful wife and mother. Everyone that I spoke with had so many things to say about how my mom touched their lives. I can only hope and pray that I can be as righteous and giving as her during my lifetime. I am so thankful to have the Gospel in my life and that I have the knowledge and faith to know that I will see her again. She was and always will be one of my best friends. I will miss her always. 

Utah Trip

In the middle of May CJ and I packed ourselves up and took a trip to Utah to visit my parents. My mom was in a specialty hospital in Orem and we felt that she didn't have much time left. Chris came up a couple of days into our trip to say goodbye to my mom. It was a bittersweet trip in the fact that I was able to see all of my family but lost my mom at the same time.

Mother's Day

I had such a wonderful Mother's Day this year. I love being a mother so much and am very thankful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with my sweet CJ. The only downside of the day was that I missed my mom a lot and was so sad that I couldn't be with her on her last mother's day.
